St. Elizabeth Edgewood Recognized for Excellence in Heart Attack Care Wednesday September 13, 2017 The American Heart Association has recognized St. Elizabeth Edgewood with two Mission: Lifeline Awards for excellence in caring for heart attack patients. Mission: Lifeline Bronze-Plus Receiving Quality Award (STEMI) Mission: Lifeline NSTEMI Bronze Quality Achievement Award The American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline program’s goal is to reduce system barriers to prompt treatment for heart attacks, beginning with the 9-1-1 call and continuing through hospital treatment. “This achievement is the result of the work of an interdisciplinary group within St. Elizabeth and the community that included representation from multiple system departments and community partners,” said Laurie Conkright, Assistant Vice President, Heart & Vascular Services. “It is truly a collaborative team that is driven by a desire to achieve high quality outcomes and continue the fight against cardiovascular disease.” For more information about Mission: Lifeline go to heart.org/missionlifeline.
