The New Maternal Fetal Center is located on the third floor at St. Elizabeth Edgewood. The new center offers an ultrasound procedure room, six ultrasound rooms, five non-stress test beds, two rooms dedicated to the Diabetes Program, two large dedicated rooms to the Genetic Counseling Program, and many other amenities in one comfortable soothing location. Congenital Heart Disease Screenings St. Elizabeth Healthcare’s Family Birth Place screens all newborns for Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). CHD is the most common birth defect in newborns consisting of an abnormal structure to the heart, which creates an abnormal blood flow pattern.
