Adam Metzler, MD

Adam Metzler, MD, specializes in minimally invasive shoulder and knee surgery. Considered one of Cincinnati’s “Top Docs” and a “Rising Star Medical Leader,” Dr. Metzler’s areas of interest and specialization include surgery techniques to restore mobility and function including anterior cruciate and complex knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair, cartilage restoration surgery, patella-femoral instability, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability procedures, biceps tendon repair, clavicle fractures and ankle fractures. He also works with patients who require general orthopaedic fracture care. As a native of Fairfield, Ohio, Dr. Metzler is a researcher working to uncover the best approaches to issue related to shoulder and knee conditions.

Dr. Metzler’s peer-reviewed abstract, Dynamically unstable syndesmosis injuries, presents a case of operative fixation of a dynamically unstable syndesmosis and detail the postoperative course. He is also involved in academics – working with students and residents as a mentor and teacher. Dr. Metzler is a regular presenter in the field of sports medicine and is a requested media expert on topics including stem cell treatment for athletes and sideline guidelines.

Kathy Boehmer is a physical therapist and certified athletic trainer who works with a team of specialists to diagnose and treat individuals with injuries to their muscles and bones and works with individuals in the prevention of sports injuries. Her areas of interest include treating hip and knee injuries, sports hernias and athletic low back pain.

As a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy, she is passionate about working with recreational, high school, college and professional athletes. Throughout her 24 years of practice, she has provided educational opportunities for the community and staff at St. Elizabeth Healthcare. She also contributes health information and has been published in Healthy Headlines, In Touch and Healthy Neighbors Newsletters.

Samantha Zoulek is a licensed Physical Therapist working with patients of all ages at OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. She utilizes a balance of various manual therapy techniques as well as functional exercises to decrease pain and restore function. Samantha is passionate about physical therapy and helping patients meet their individual goals, guiding them each step of the way as they progress and accomplish things they didn’t think they could.

She works closely with athletes who are working towards returning to sport through the Acceleration Program at OrthoCincy. Since 2013, Samantha has worked with OrthoCincy and is the physical therapy supervisor at the Florence location.

He is passionate about working with individuals of all ages who are working towards their functional goals. Logan’s years of experience and compassionate approach to care helps patients stay motivated and improve their health.

He enjoys guiding individuals in their efforts to improve function while promoting patient independence through education. He is particularly interested in helping athletes return to their sport and reduce future injury risk.
