The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced preliminary scores for the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) from performance year 2021.
St. Elizabeth Provider Network (SEPN) has received an initial score of 99.49. This score is based on quality, improvement activities and promoting interoperability in the traditional Medicare population. This is an aggregate score for all participating members of SEPN – which includes St. Elizabeth Healthcare, St. Elizabeth Physicians and independent partners.
The 2021 performance is similar to past years, as SEPN has remained in the top quartile of MSSP participating groups.
This score is not final, as an additional CMS review is pending. CMS anticipates final scores and the corresponding Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) payment adjustment will be available in August.
