St. Elizabeth Healthcare to Donate Falmouth Property to Transitions, Inc.

Falmouth, KY - St. Elizabeth Healthcare has entered into an agreement to donate its property in Falmouth, Kentucky to Transitions, Inc. The transfer will occur on May 1, 2018. The property is valued at $1.6 million. Transition's helps individuals transition from the pain of addiction to the gratitude of recovery through comprehensive support services.

"We are committed to bringing real solutions to our community to help those with substance use disorders and are thrilled to find a like-minded organization such as Transitions that will continue that mission in Falmouth."

All programs at Transitions follow evidence-based practices which may include medications to treat opiate use disorder. These practices indicate that providing individualized treatment is most successful when intervening with individuals with a substance use disorder.

"At Transitions we believe that addiction is a disease and treat substance use disorders from the disease model," says Jim Beiting, Transitions CEO. "Our treatment is individualized to best meet the needs of the patient. We are very appreciative that St. Elizabeth recognizes this need in our community and chose Transitions to help carry on that mission in Falmouth."

Under Transitions, the Falmouth location will operate as a long-term, 36-bed residential treatment program, including detox services. Length of stay will be individualized, but will average between 30 and 60 days. If indicated, a longer or shorter stay may be accommodated.

Staffing will be 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A full program director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations. Counselors, peer support specialists, case managers, nursing, housekeeping, foodservice, and maintenance will balance out the remaining members of the team.

Services offered include individual therapy, psycho-educational group, group therapy, case management, AA and NA meetings, structured recreation, mental health therapy, life skills, and employment support.
