St. Elizabeth Breast Center Receives National Accreditation
The St. Elizabeth Breast Center is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). NAPBC accreditation is granted only to those centers that voluntarily commit to providing the best possible care to patients. Each breast center undergoes a rigorous evaluation and review of its performance. To maintain accreditation, centers must monitor compliance with the NAPBC Standards and undergo an on-site review every three years.

Day of Celebration 2014
The St Elizabeth Women’s Wellness Center hosted the 2014 Day of Celebration for breast cancer survivors on Saturday Feb 22, 2014. The event featured Dr. Jim Pavelka
, oncological gynecologist who presented the latest information regarding recommendations for women’s health screenings and updates on the risks and benefits of hormonal therapies as well information on screening for ovarian cancer for high risk women.
In addition Michael Thomas, hypnotist, instructed in relaxation techniques and ways to de-stress as well as an interactive experience with volunteer participants who agreed to be hypnotized.
To finish out the day our local hometown movie star who has appeared on Untold Stories of the ER
, Clinical Nurse Specialist Terry Foster, presented true but hilarious stories from his many years of working in the ER and dance troop, "Expressions Dance Theater" from Crescent Spring KY entertained the entire crowd with an emotional dance that paid tribute to all of the breast cancer survivors.
The over 200 women who attended also enjoyed Boutique style shopping, great food by Twin Oaks Golf and Plantation Club, and enjoyed time to meet new friends and bonding with old acquaintances.
