Outpatient surgery, also known as ambulatory surgery or same-day surgery, is designed for certain types of surgical procedures which require less than a 24-hour stay after surgery.

Advances in surgical technology and anesthetic drugs have contributed to making outpatient surgery very convenient and comfortable. At St. Elizabeth, we offer two unique locations, called SurgiCenters, for outpatient surgical procedures. At our Edgewood location, we perform general, ophthalmologic, and orthopedic surgery. At our Crestview Hills location, we perform general, gynecologic, orthopedic, podiatry, and plastic surgery.
