St. Elizabeth Rehabilitation Services assists patients of all ages to improve functional performance that has been impaired by disease, physical injury, surgery or developmental delay. Rehabilitation services, through the continuum of care, strives to help patients regain and maintain their highest level of function.

Audiology and Speech Pathology
Audiology provides diagnostic and rehabilitative services for hearing impaired individuals. Specialized testing such as Automated Brainstem Response Testing is available as well as hearing aid evaluation and dispensing.

Speech Pathology provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. Services may be coordinated with a physician, family, school, employers, and community.

Hand Therapy
Hand Therapy provides a specialized program to treat injuries to the upper extremity as a result of the disease process, injury or post-surgical procedures. Our Hand Therapy department is staffed by both Occupational and Physical Therapists who are either Certified Hand Therapists or undergoing specialized training to obtain their Certification.

Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy
Physical Therapy provides evaluation and treatment to help individuals restore and maintain maximum function through increasing mobility, strength and endurance. Physical therapy programs may include orthopedic rehabilitation, neuromuscular rehabilitation, lymphedema therapy, ambulation, and balance training as well as treatment for temporamandibular disorder, women’s health issues and incontinence.

Occupational Therapy provides evaluation and treatment to patients to improve skills and ability to perform everyday activities for use in home and community. Interventions may include functional mobility skills, adaptive equipment, cognitive and perceptual abilities and skills.

Sports Medicine
Sports Medicine provides comprehensive physical therapy services for active individuals and athletes. Services include medical evaluation by Michael Miller, M.D., x-ray, physical therapy and orthopedic bracing. Sports medicine also provides athletic training services to numerous area schools.
