St. Elizabeth Physicians Brings New Hope for Addiction Recovery

Edgewood, KY – St. Elizabeth Healthcare is celebrating the official opening of a new 12,000-square-foot facility that will focus on bringing additional resources to combat addiction in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati.

The new facility, called the St. Elizabeth Physicians Journey Recovery Center (351 Centre View Blvd. Crestview Hills, Ky. 41017), officially opened its doors on September 25. Created in conjunction with the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, 12-step programming will focus on several addiction treatments, including alcohol, opioids, narcotics and more.

The goal of the facility?

“Save lives,” said Dan Cole, assistant vice president of medical specialties at St. Elizabeth Physicians. “We want our work to reflect a continued sense of hope for our community and patients who have been affected by addiction.”

Dr. Teresa Koeller will serve as medical director and will oversee an initial staff of 12, including nurse practitioners, therapists and case managers. Within a six to 12-month period, the facility will increase its workforce to approximately 32 employees.

The facility will work closely with the Kentucky Department of Drug Control Policy, Kentucky Medicaid, Brighton Center, Transitions, Inc. and other community and state partners working to combat addiction.

An official ribbon cutting on Thursday, October 5, will introduce the new facility to the community.
