Robin Curry, M.D.
Dr. Robin Curry is originally from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville where she earned her undergraduate, graduate and medical degrees. She hopes to further pursue her interest in Sports Medicine following her residency.
Although she spent ten years in “Cardinal Country”, Robin considers herself a huge University of Kentucky sports fan. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, watching sports and spending time outdoors.
Kasey Eidson, M.D.
Dr. Kasey Eidson was born in Kansas City, Missouri but lived the majority of her childhood in Richmond, Kentucky. She earned her undergraduate degree from Transylvania University and her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008.
Kasey began her medical career in surgery, but after realizing she had a passion for direct patient contact and forming long-term care relationships, she chose to pursue Family Medicine. She chose St. Elizabeth because she knew she would receive exceptional all-around training while being given the opportunity to work with interesting, committed people.
Outside of medicine, Kasey enjoys reading, watching television and movies, cooking and baking for her fellow residents and spending time with her friends and family.
Thanesan Gurumurthi, M.D.
Dr. Thanesan Gurumurthi is originally from Toronto, Canada. He earned his medical degree from the Xavier University School of Medicine in Aruba.
Than chose St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency because he felt the curriculum was challenging, but greatly rewarding. He also finds the people here to both friendly and helpful.
Outside of medicine, Than’s interests are varied and include new technology, cars and playing sports.
Marianne Jansen, M.D.
Dr. Marianne Jansen was born in Webster Groves, Missouri but grew up in Greater Cincinnati. She earned her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, her master’s degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona and her medical degree from St. George’s University Medical School on the island of Grenada.
Marianne completed her medical school clerkship in Paterson, New Jersey and credits that experience with giving her the realization that Family Medicine suited her best. She chose the St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program because she felt it was a program where she could thrive and get the education to become the best resident and doctor possible.
Outside of medicine, Marianne enjoys attending many of the weekend festivals in the area and playing golf. Having grown up in the area, she is a huge fan of the local pro sports teams and enjoys occasionally attending Reds and Bengals games.
Huzaifa Quaizar, M.D.
Dr. Huzaifa Quaizar is originally from Queens, New York. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Binghamton University in upstate New York and his medical degree from Saba University.
Huzaifa chose St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency because he believes it is a comprehensive program that challenges and demands a lot from its residents while investing a great deal into making them excellent doctors. He also loves how the Northern Kentucky region offers the perfect mix of big city opportunities with a small town feel and has given him a great place to raise his two children.
Sofia Qureshi, M.D.
Dr. Sofia Qureshi is originally from Capital city Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and grew up in Toronto, Canada. She earned her bachelor of medical sciences from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario and began her medical studies at the Medical University of Americas in Nevus. She eventually transferred and completed her medical degree at the University of Illinois Chicago.
Sofia chose St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency in part for the program’s intangible elements. She was immediately drawn to the great group of attendings, nurses, staff and colleague residents that not only came together to have fun, learn, teach and laugh but to also care for each other and their patients. She also appreciated the diverse patient base, highly skilled faculty members and the immediate hands-on learning and experience due to the program being unopposed (the only residency program offered by St. Elizabeth Healthcare).
Outside of medicine, Sofia enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, sports, board games, skating, rollerblading, camping, and any other adventurous activities. She considers Northern Kentucky an ideal location because it offers access to a big city but at an ideal distance for peace and family upbringing.
Asha Sharma, M.D.
Dr. Asha Sharma is originally from Oakville, Ontario, a town outside of Toronto. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Western Ontario and her medical degree from St. Martinus University on the island of Curacao in the Netherlands Antilles.
Asha chose St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency because she felt the program offered a fantastic balance of medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics. She also appreciated that the unopposed nature of the program (it is the only residency program offered by St. Elizabeth Healthcare) provided a lot of opportunities to get involved with procedures, intubations and lines.
Outside of medicine, Asha enjoys travelling, sports, reading and camping. She likes that the Northern Kentucky region offers all of the amenities of being near the big city while still maintaining its small town feeling.
Tasheena Slone, M.D.
Dr. Tasheena Slone grew up in a rural town in southeastern Kentucky amidst the Appalachian Mountains. She attended Knott County High School, earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Kentucky and her medical degree from Saba University.
Tasheena chose St. Elizabeth Family Medicine residency because she felt that the program promotes a positive environment conducive to learning. The faculty is caring and very eager to teach and the unopposed nature of the program (it is the only residency program offered by St. Elizabeth Healthcare) provides endless opportunities for procedures.
Outside of medicine, Tasheena has a passion for art. Growing up surrounded by nature, she has a deep appreciation for landscape painting and has recently progressed to portraits, sculptures, knitting and animation. She also enjoys travelling, collecting dolls, playing dodgeball, spending time with her family and friends and most importantly, spending quiet time with God.
