Jesse’s Letter
Dear St. Elizabeth,
I’ve been an active person all my life. I started playing soccer and baseball in high school and continued playing those into my adult years. To this day, I still enjoy getting outside and being active with my family.
Working in the wireless industry for 25 years, I’ve had a lot of wear and tear on my body, especially my right shoulder. Over the past two years, my shoulder was in so much pain that it took away my ability to do the things that I love to do.
My orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Greiwe, had been treating arthritis in my shoulder joint and it finally reached the point where he guided me to a shoulder replacement and the surgery he created, the rotator cuff-sparing shoulder replacement.
My surgery was on December 20, 2019. Dr. Greiwe had me doing physical therapy on January 4, 2020. And, I was back to work on February 4, 2020.
Because of the care St. Elizabeth and their partner surgeons from OrthoCincy Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine gave me, I am looking forward to having my active life back.
It’ll be great to go fishing with my brother and son — and spend more active time with my Yorkie, Mojito.
Thanks, St. Elizabeth and Dr. Greiwe, for helping me get my everyday life back, and giving me the ability to fully enjoy life’s special moments again.
Yours truly,
Jesse Mondragon
