Crohn's disease is a chronic disease that causes inflammation of the lining of the digestive tract.
Symptoms
Symptoms include pain in the belly, severe diarrhea, and malnutrition. Crohn's disease sometimes causes life-threatening complications.
Treatments
A variety of medications and, sometimes, surgery can reduce symptoms and lead to long-term remission.
