He has extensive experience with sports injuries to those areas. He specializes in treatment of knee injuries especially ACL and meniscus damage and shoulder injuries including dislocation and labral tears in the athlete and non-athlete using advanced techniques in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. His specialization includes comprehensive care of athletes and whenever possible provides nonsurgical treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. BILBO LEARN MORE Meet Dr. Forest Heis Dr. Forest T. Heis was raised in Cincinnati, OH. He received his B.A. degree from Stanford University and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery and a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Duke University. He also completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. DesJardins received his B.S. from the University of Michigan and completed medical school at Wayne State University. After he completed residency training in family medicine at Wake Forest University, his interest in athletic medicine led him to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Utah. He served as a physician for the 2002 Winter Olympics and as a team doctor for the University of Utah. Dr. DesJardins is board-certified and fellowship trained in sports medicine.
