St. Elizabeth Hospice Sponsors Equine Grief Camp The St. Elizabeth Hospice STARS program will host an equine grief camp at Potter’s Ranch in Union, Kentucky June 17 – 20 and July 21 - 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Dealing with the death of a loved one is never easy, but facing this confusing process as a child can be even more difficult. The STARS program helps kids better understand their loss and find strength through their grief journey.
ENQUIRER: Edgewood man's pilgrimage battles cancer, celebrates life Fourteen months after being diagnosed {with metastatic pancreatic cancer}, Eric Miller is embarking on the journey of a lifetime – a solitary, 150-mile trek on El Camino de Santiago in Spain. The 57-year-old father of three is raising money for St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice in his hometown of Edgewood and sees his two-week trip as a “celebration of life.”

Miller was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic pancreatic cancer in July 2012. Doctors told him the disease was inoperable and non-curable.
