AHA Training Center

Our Mission 

SETECThe St. Elizabeth AHA Training Center offers a variety of courses designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Our classes are instructor-led, training is conducted in a classroom setting and features group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. 

The St. Elizabeth AHA Training Center offers courses the 3rd Saturday every month starting August 17 through December 14 at the St. Elizabeth Training and Education Center from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Heartsaver courses for 2020 will be held on every other month.

HEARTSAVER First Aid Course

AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid course provides the knowledge and skills that may help save a life. It offers the basics of first aid, consisting of the most common life- threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. The most important goal of this course is to teach students to act in an emergency. 



Classroom course 2 hours - $45 per person

HEARTSAVER CPR AED Course

AHA’S Heartsaver CPR AED course provides the knowledge and skills that may help save a life. Although much is being done to prevent death from heart problems, cardiac arrest is still one of the leading causes of death in the United State. The skills learned in this course will help you recognize cardiac arrest, get emergency care on the way quickly, and help the person until more advanced care arrives to take over.

HeartCode Basic Life Support Course

The AHA BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Healthcare Provider Courses

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support 
    • This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post- cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
    • Online course $132

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
    • AHA’s advanced pediatric course, students learn how to use a systematic approach to quickly assess, identify the underlying cause, and treat pediatric patients in emergency situations. Students interact with real pediatric patient cases, realistic simulations, and animations to assess and treat these pediatric patients. This includes applying basic life support, following PALS treatment algorithms, and practicing effective resuscitation skills and team dynamics. Through a combination of cognitive learning and psychomotor skills practice, the PALS Course improves students’ confidence and skill levels for delivering effective emergency pediatric care.

  • Heart Saver Bloodborne Pathogens 
    • This classroom course teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Participation Certificate given.
    • Online course $22
