St. Elizabeth Sweethearts: A Match Made in Medicine for Drs. Seth and Shelby Carmichael

Valentine’s Day is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with a love story? This one begins in a classroom at the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine when Shelby Lesak, who hails from Cynthiana, met Seth Carmichael of Lawrenceburg in the fall of 2018.

The couple got married April 23, 2022, just days before their graduation from medical school.

Instead of being forced to maintain a long-distance relationship, the newlyweds were fortunate in being able to do their residencies together at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood.
