Dr. Matthew Kurian is a hematologist–oncologist at St. Elizabeth Healthcare and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Kentucky. His clinical practice focuses on breast and genitourinary malignancies. He completed his oncology training, and served as Chief Fellow, at the NCI-designated University Hospitals/Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. He has an extensive portfolio of peer-reviewed publications, national presentations, and leadership roles. His clinical and research interests center on advancing precision oncology, including radioligand therapy, artificial intelligence in cancer care, and ctDNA-based disease monitoring. He leads the breast and genitourinary oncology clinical trial program at St. Elizabeth Healthcare and is at the forefront of bringing next-generation therapies to patients in the community setting. Dr. Kurian is widely recognized for his leadership in oncology innovation. He serves on national committees within ASCO and across Kentucky, collaborating with industry and academic partners to expand access to clinical trials, integrate artificial intelligence into oncology practice, and improve outcomes for patients across diverse populations.
