What to Expect in the Triage Care Unit
When you arrive, you’ll begin in our triage area — a private space where nurses assess your contractions, check your baby’s wellbeing and determine whether it’s time for admission. Some patients move on to a birthing suite, while others are safely discharged home for early labor.
Parents under 15 weeks pregnant are typically evaluated through the Emergency Department.
Your Labor and Delivery Experience
Your private birthing suite is the center of your labor and delivery experience. Here, our team supports your birth plan with comfort options fetal monitoring and compassionate care. With appropriate supervision, siblings may be present during birth, making the moment even more meaningful. Whether you choose a natural childbirth experience, epidural or other comfort measures, your care team is by your side to guide and support you.
After Birth: Postpartum Care Unit
After delivery, you’ll transition to a private postpartum suite where you can rest, heal and bond with your newborn. Our postpartum nurses provide support for pain management, recovery from vaginal or C-section birth, emotional wellbeing and newborn care education. After discharge, you can return to the Postpartum Care Center for blood pressure checks, bilirubin testing, feeding support and other follow-up needs.
