CINCINNATI —The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has rated the heat wave in Cincinnati as “extreme,” with urgent care centers and emergency rooms seeing a rise in heat-related illnesses as temperatures climb.
Rani Clark, a nurse practitioner at St. Elizabeth’s Ft. Thomas urgent care, said they are seeing an increase in heat-related illnesses.
“When the heat, you know, obviously rises, we do see an increase in heat-related illnesses,” Clark said.
