What do Paris, Milan and Edgewood, Ky., have in common? They’re all home to pioneers in heart surgery – and this September, they’re coming together in Northern Kentucky.
From Thursday, Sept. 4, through Saturday, Sept. 6, more than 180 cardiac surgeons, physicians and advanced practice professionals from around the world will convene at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Training and Education Center for the Endoscopic Cardiac Surgeons Club 2025 Annual Meeting.
“The surgeons attending this conference are on the cutting edge of cardiac care,” said Dr. Mario Castillo-Sang, a cardiac surgeon at St. Elizabeth and a founding member of the Endoscopic Cardiac Surgeons Club. “Their patients benefit from this—as totally endoscopic minimally invasive procedures lead to better outcomes and faster recovery.”
This prestigious event showcases the latest in:
- Minimally invasive valve surgery techniques that are transforming patient care.
- Global collaboration among experts advancing the science and future of cardiac surgery.
- Innovative research and clinical insights that directly impact diagnostics, recovery and long-term outcomes.
- Multidisciplinary discussions that strengthen care team coordination and referral pathways.
Attendees will hear from St. Eizabeth Healthcare leaders and participate in networking activities, including a Cincinnati Reds game.
This isn’t just a meeting – it’s an international spotlight on the innovation, expertise and patient-first care happening in our own backyard.
“We’re not just participating in the future of heart surgery – we’re defining it,” said Dr. Castillo-Sang.
