Newsweek Names St. Elizabeth One of the Nation’s Best Maternity Hospitals
EDGEWOOD, Ky. — St. Elizabeth Healthcare has been named one of the nation’s best maternity hospitals by Newsweek, recognizing the Family Birth Place at St. Elizabeth Edgewood for high standards of care and safe sleep practices. The recognition is based on a Newsweek study conducted in partnership with Statista. The evaluation incorporated a nationwide survey of health care professionals, patient experience survey results and hospital quality metrics to assess maternity care performance across hospitals in the U.S.

The Family Birth Place at Edgewood provides comprehensive services, experienced and specialized staff, state-of-the-art equipment and birthing rooms. The facility includes four surgical suites, a six-bed recovery unit and a triage area. The postpartum unit offers large rooms where families can begin getting to know their new baby.
In addition to the Newsweek recognition, the Family Birth Place has also been acknowledged by U.S. News & World Report for providing a high standard of care during childbirth.
