Where and How to Get a COVID-19 Test

Please do not go to the emergency department for a COVID-19 test. Our emergency departments are only for those who need the most critical care.*

*If you have chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, a severe headache or other potentially life-threatening problems, go to the nearest emergency department or call 911.

Asymptomatic

Schedule an appointment at the drive-thru testing center.

The process of a drive-thru COVID-19 test involves a self-swab while you remain in your car.

The drive-thru testing center requires an appointment. If you do not have an appointment scheduled, a test will not be able to be performed and you will be asked to schedule for the next available timeslot.
Patients and non-patients can schedule a COVID-19 test ONLINE.
Those without a MyChart account can sign up for MyChart.
No physician order is required to schedule a drive-thru appointment.
No cost.
Test results will be available in MyChart 3-5 business days after the test is performed.
Due to inclement weather and high volume, please expect delays at our COVID-19 testing drive-thru locations.
If you do not have an appointment scheduled for today, we strongly encourage you to schedule your test for the next available timeslot.

Symptomatic or Direct Exposure

If you are having symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, aches, etc.) or direct exposure and require a COVID test, please read below for testing options.

Direct exposure is defined as being in close contact within 6 feet of an infected individual for a total of 15 or more minutes. Learn more about COVID-19, visit CDC.gov/coronavirus.

Primary Care

Please schedule a video visit with your St. Elizabeth primary care provider. Video visits are available for new and established patients.

Respiratory Care Clinics

Patients experiencing respiratory symptoms who do not require emergency care, please visit one of the specially equipped locations to treat respiratory conditions that may be linked to COVID-19. A provider evaluation will be conducted to determine if a test is required.

St. Elizabeth Respiratory Care Clinics (see locations below) are open Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
