Medicare Open Enrollment Through March 31 Thursday February 20, 2020 Medicare-age patients have several options available during the current open enrollment period, which runs through March 31. Current Medicare Advantage plan members can leave their plan and return to original Medicare, as well as enroll in a Part D prescription drug plan to supplement Medicare coverage. Members also have the option to switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan during this open enrollment period. Additionally, the original Medicare general enrollment period is also open, allowing for entrance into Medicare A or B. Those that missed their initial enrollment period or those who are not entitled to a special enrollment period, must enroll now or be forced to wait until 2021. Questions on plan options can be directed to the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), a benefits enrollment center funded by the National Council on Aging. The number for SHIP is (866) 516-3051. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share by E-Mail Share on LinkedIn
