Union, KY—The St. Elizabeth Hospice STARS program will host an equine grief camp at Potters Ranch in Union, Kentucky July 15 – 18 and August 5 - 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Dealing with the death of a loved one is never easy, but facing this confusing process as a child can be even more difficult. The STARS program helps kids better understand their loss and find strength through their grief journey. The equine grief camp was created for those who have experienced the death of a loved one. The program uses horses to build life skills when dealing with loss and stress. Participants do not need to know how to ride, but must be between the ages of 9 and 17. The cost is $50 per child and each camp is limited to 20 participants on a first-come basis. Transportation from St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood to Potter’s Ranch will be provided. Drop-off at the Edgewood Hospice Center will be at 7:45 a.m. each day and parent pick-up from the Hospice Center will occur at 1:40 p.m. To register or for more information, contact Vivien Finnigan at (859) 301-4612 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
