Over 21 million Veterans are living in America today.  One out of every four Americans is a Veteran.  These men and women carry experiences from their military service that present unique healthcare challenges.  At St. Elizabeth Hospice, our expert team of caretakers are equipped in assisting veterans with these unique needs at end-of-life.  As a partner of the We Honor Veterans Program, an initiative between the U.S. Veterans Administration, and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, the St. Elizabeth Hospice team is able to care for veterans and provide them with a better quality of life.

Hospice provides services that relieve suffering and help control symptoms in a way that respects your personal, cultural, and religious beliefs and practices. Hospice care is provided by an interdisciplinary team overseen by Board-certified Hospice and Palliative Care physicians. This team works directly with the patient, their family members and caregivers, to provide care for the whole person in mind, body and spirit.

Honoring your service

Since 2016, St. Elizabeth Hospice has made an ongoing commitment through the national We Honor Veterans program, to recognize the unique needs of Veterans and their families through an annual Veteran Appreciation Luncheon. This event is open to the public and recognizes our entire veteran community every year. For more information about our next event, reach out to natalie.ciulla@stelizabeth.com or (859) 301-7878.
