It is the PrimeWise policy to have a program unless the weather situation has a serious impact on the normal transportation systems in the region. During these types of inclement weather situations, procedures used to cancel a program involve the following:

  • Morning programs – Speakers and Instructors will be notified by email or a phone call the day before the program.
    • Attendees call the PrimeWise telephone number at (859) 301-5999. If the program is cancelled an announcement will be placed on the PrimeWise phone line the day before the program after 4 p.m.
  • Afternoon programs – Speakers and Instructors will be notified by email or a phone call the day of the program.
    • Attendees call the PrimeWise telephone number at (859) 301-5999 the day of the program.
  • Evening programs – Speakers and Instructors will be notified by email or a phone call after 4 p.m. the day of the program.
    • Attendees call the PrimeWise telephone number at (859) 301-5999. If the program is cancelled an announcement will be placed on the PrimeWise phone line. Please call after 4 p.m. for evening programs.

In any inclement weather situation, it is up to the individual as to whether they feel conditions permit safe travel. It is impossible to accurately assess the road and weather conditions across the entire Northern Kentucky region. Some areas may experience severe weather conditions while other areas are less affected. The ultimate decision on travel rests with the individual.
