Edgewood, KY—
St. Elizabeth has launched a new Care Card program featuring more than 60 unique cards and greetings for patients. The program is designed to allow community members, family or friends to send a special cheer or encouragement to a friend or loved one in the hospital.

The Care Card program is a free service where volunteers hand deliver personalized greeting cards to any inpatient currently at a St. Elizabeth hospital twice a day, Monday through Friday. The program features a wide range of designs and messages from funny get well cards to congratulation messages for new parents.

Creating a Care Card is simple. Visit and select a greeting card from one of the categories or view them all, then enter a personal message. Volunteers will do the rest. Care Cards are not available for outpatients, employees, patients who have been discharged, or patients in the emergency room.

“Our volunteers embody a sense of selflessness and giving,” says Jenelen Dulemba, Director of Volunteer Services. “That same spirit was found in our partnership with Seed Strategy and the work they did on the new Care Cards. Utilizing the design and creative expertise donated by Seed, these new cards will help inspire healing, lend congratulations to new additions to the family, and bring some fun and joy to the lives of those we serve at St. Elizabeth. We are very appreciative of this contribution from Seed Strategy for our patients.”
