Description: The St. Elizabeth “Living with Heart Failure Series” includes 6 educational sessions for patients and their families who have the diagnosis of heart failure.  These 6 educational sessions are free and will cover the following topics:
  • Understanding Heart Failure
  • Fluid Management
  • Nutrition and Heart Failure
  • Understanding Your Medications
  • Exercise and Activity
  • Coping with Heart Failure

At the completion of all 6 sessions, each participant will receive a certificate of completion.

This Course
Understanding Your Medications

Synopsis
This class will be taught by a licensed Pharmacist or Pharmacy Resident.  Discussion will include information concerning the different classes of heart failure medications and why they are used.
