The Best Care for Vascular Disease - All in One Location

Nearly a dozen leading vascular physicians from Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati created the Vascular Institute at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Our multi-disciplinary center aims to improve vascular care by bringing together in one location all needed specialists and by helping patients navigate their way through treatment.

Patients with any of the following diagnoses can receive state-of-the-art care and services at the Vascular Institute:
  • Claudication (leg pain when walking)
  • Asymptomatic known peripheral vascular disease
  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm (or risks for it)
  • Thoracic aortic aneurysm (or risks for it)
  • Renovascular disease (suspected or known)
  • Intestinal ischemic disease (suspected or known)
  • Carotid/cerebrovascular disease or stroke (suspected or known)
  • Venous disease or varicose veins (suspected or known)
The institute's recently opened sixth-floor quarters include spacious exam rooms, office space, comfortable waiting areas and conference rooms.

Multiple Specialists, One Location
St. Elizabeth's Vascular Institute is unique in this region. It was created with a focus on collaboration. Our many alliances allow us to provide unparalleled capabilities and to be the one place patients can go to find the best vascular care resources-all in one location:
  • Largest vascular surgery group
  • Largest radiology group
  • Largest independent internal medicine group
  • One of Kentucky's largest hospitals
Personalized Care and Support
Although medical management of patients at the Vascular Institute is handled by their primary care physicians, Vascular Institute physicians offer specialized expertise to help monitor and direct treatment. We also are an invaluable resource for self-referred patients who do not have a primary care physician.

Our team of specialists follows standardized procedures to ensure that each patient receives the care he needs, and that all vascular problems are addressed in the same visit.

A nurse coordinator works with each patient, overseeing care and making referrals to appropriate specialists as needed. This person serves as the patient's advocate throughout the treatment process by:
  • Gathering information and test results
  • Communicating with referring physicians
  • Scheduling tests and procedures
  • Arranging follow-up care
  • Helping patients and their doctors understand how to best manage their condition
