Audiology (hearing):
Audiology (hearing) services are available for all ages (birth to geriatric). Hearing aid evaluations, consultations and fittings are provided when indicated. Adult testing includes traditional audiometric tests for the detection of middle ear pathology or hearing loss. Specialized tests are also available including auditory brainstem response (ABR) and universal infant hearing screening.
Speech Pathology:
Speech Pathology services at St. Elizabeth
include a full range of inpatientand outpatient evaluation and therapy for
adults and children with speech/language problems such as articulation and
language delays, language learning disabilities, stuttering, and voice
disorders. St. Elizabeth is the only provider in Northern Kentucky to offer
videostroboscopy, a process used in the diagonosis and treatment of voice
disorders. In addition, treatment for communication disorders resulting from
stroke, head injury, laryngectomy, and congenital anomalies such as cleft lip
and palate are available. Related disorders of swallowing are addressed as well.
Individual and group speech therapy is available, with observation rooms provide
for parents.

Patients can contact
the department directly to request information or set up an appointment for a
speech evaluation, hearing test, or evaluation for a hearing aid. St.
Elizabeth's Audiology and Speech Pathology Department offers a two-year warranty
on hearing aids at competitive rates, with excellent service by professionally
trained, licensed, and certified audiologists.
