CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the craniosacral system (the membranes and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord).
Using a light touch, practitioners release restrictions so the body can release the effects of stress naturally and heal itself.
Even the most natural of births is stressful to the skull and spine. Research suggests that the birth process is responsible for many brain dysfunctions caused by central nervous system imbalances. CST can be performed at birth or within the first few days and is effective in treating:
Newborns
- Irregular head shape
- Colic, vomiting, chronic otitis and seizures
- Strabismus, hearing and motor problems
- Failure to Thrive Syndrome
Infants and School Aged Children
- Down’s Syndrome and Autism
- Problems associated with Cerebral Palsy and Scoliosis
- Dyslexia, hyperkinetic behavior, ADHD and learning difficulties
- Headaches, migraines, injuries to the head, neck and spine
- Abnormal fears and depression
