St. Elizabeth's Diabetes Self Management Outpatient Program has received the prestigious American Diabetes Association Award of Recognition as a program of quality.

The Diabetes Self-Management Outpatient Program offers education, self management groups and counseling for outpatients and recently discharged patients/families living with diabetes. Diabetes educators offer a variety of educational workshops, classes and self management groups, as well as individual instruction.

St. Elizabeth Medical Center provides high quality diabetes education, which is an essential component of effective diabetes treatment. We also offer a gestational diabetes class.

Although the disease is not curable, it can be kept under control through education and proper care. That's why programs such as ours are vitally important to help people with diabetes avoid complications and lead a normal life.
