Specially equipped for emergencies
The emergency departments at St. Elizabeth are equipped to manage critical pediatric situations. Physicians and nurses certified in pediatric advanced life support (PALS) are available in the emergency departments around the clock to care for critically ill or injured children. All St. Elizabeth emergency physicians are residency-trained and board-certified or eligible in emergency medicine.
The pediatric departments, post anesthesia care units (recovery room) and other appropriate departments are also staffed by PALS-certified physicians and nurses.

Hearing services
Hearing services for children and adults are provided by licensed and certified audiologists. Audiologists can perform hearing tests, consult on hearing loss, or assist in fitting hearing aids. For more information please call the St. Elizabeth Speech, Language and Hearing Services (859) 301-5740.
Speech therapy
Speech and language therapy is available for babies, children, adolescents and adults who have difficulty talking, understanding, swallowing or eating. Licensed and certified speech and language pathologists work with clients to develop skills necessary for daily living. Monday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Appointments
All appointments should be scheduled in advance to avoid the confusion and delay of unscheduled office visits. We request 24 hours notice for cancellation of all routine physical exams (checkups).
Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment to allow time to complete necessary paperwork.
