CINCY CHIC: St. Elizabeth Healthcare nurses honored at "Night in White" Monday May 6, 2013 Three St. Elizabeth Healthcare Nurses were recognized at Cincy Chic's 4th annual "Night in White: Lisa Taylor (far right), Tracy Hagood (center) and Lisa King (far left). Lisa Taylor: A Registered Nurse in TCU at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Not only does Lisa excel in her clinical skills but also caring for the holistic needs of each patient that she takes care of. Lisa recognizes when a patient needs their hand held, when they need to be listened to and when to involve other care team members. She demonstrates excellence in everything she does, being a leader on the unit and always has a positive, uplifting attitude. Tracy Hagood: A Registered Nurse in TCU at St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas Not only is Tracy responsible for patient care, but she serves as the Preceptor Coordinator of her unit, helping to train new employees. One year ago, she helped form a new committee, COMMUNITY SERVICE OUTREACH, which has opened the door for wonderful health ministry. The outreach began serving at St. Paul's Food Pantry, and the group of nurse volunteers each Wednesday to perform blood pressure checks, blood sugar screenings, and aide in finding solutions for patients’ health concerns. The nurses listen, educate, and find the appropriate resource for the needs of the patient. Their goal is to be able to hear the patient’s story and be the face of St. Elizabeth to the underserved in our community. Lisa King: A Registered Nurse in the OR at St. Elizabeth Florence Lisa King is known by her nursing and physician colleagues as an outstanding OR nurse. Her perioperative experience/expertise allows her to use her skills to provide excellent patient care as well as mentoring other more novice nurses. Lisa greatest strength is her energy and passion for nursing. She is a strong advocate for progressive learning in all aspects of the profession, and is a strong advocate/leader of encouraging nurses to seek certification in their specialties. Lisa gives of herself time and energy for community support work. When a hospital or community need is identified you can always count on Lisa to be a part of it. Lisa exemplifies what a Magnet nurse represents! She shines every day! Thank you to Cincy Chic for recognizing the work of these three caring, compassionate nurses.
