Calculate your pack history by multiplying the number of packs smoked per day by the number of years you have smoked tobacco. This is your pack year number. Is this number 20 or greater? (For example, if you smoked one pack a day for 20 years, that would equal a 20 pack year history. If you smoked two packs a day for 10 years, that would also equal a 20 pack year history.)
