Martin G. Oscadal
Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Marty Oscadal currently serves as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for St. Elizabeth Healthcare. In his current role, he is responsible for all Human Resources functions including recruitment, compensation, benefits and employee relations and organizational effectiveness (i.e. succession planning, leadership development, clinical and non-clinical education). He has more than 33 years of healthcare experience.
Mr. Oscadal earned his bachelor of arts in history from State College of New York at Buffalo and his master’s degree in labor and industrial relations from Michigan State University.
Prior to joining St. Elizabeth Healthcare in 2005, Mr. Oscadal served as Assistant Personnel Officer for Michigan Department of Corrections in Jackson, Michigan from 1977 to 1978, as Labor Relations Representative, Manger of Labor Relations and Director of Employee Relations for Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago Illinois from 1978 to 1990 and as Vice President of Human Resources for several hospitals/health systems including St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mercy Hospital and Catholic Health System in Buffalo, New York, and Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts from 1990 to 2005).
Mr. Oscadal has experience in strategic business planning, positive employee/labor relations, risk management, organizational development and continuous quality improvement. He currently serves on the St. Elizabeth Board of American Nursing Care.
