(ACR). The ACR is devoted to making imaging safe, effective and accessible to those who need it.
Ultrasound exams are read by Radiology Associates of Northern Kentucky
(RANK), where every physician member is board certified in radiologic imaging.
All St. Elizabeth Healthcare Ultrasound Technologists are registered through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
(ARDMS). The ARDMS is the globally recognized standard of Ultrasound Sonography. It promotes quality care and patient safety through the certification and continuing competency of ultrasound professionals.
In addition to the ACR, all St. Elizabeth Healthcare facilities are also accredited by The Joint Commission
(TJC). These organizations are recognized as a nationwide symbol of safety and quality, reflecting our commitment to meeting performance standards.
Ultrasound utilizes sound waves to take pictures of the human body non-invasively. At St. Elizabeth Healthcare we strive to provide patients access to state-of-the-art technology utilizing the latest equipment.
Ultrasound imaging is available at 5 of our primary hospital locations (Edgewood, Covington, Florence, Fort Thomas and Grant) as well as our Edgewood and Hebron Imaging facilities.
