Gary Blank

Gary Blank currently serves as Senior Vice President-Chief Patient Services Officer/Chief Nursing Officer. In this capacity he oversees nursing and professional services to better integrate consistent standards of patient care. He is dedicated to providing patient excellence in the full continuum of healthcare, from health promotion and disease prevention to diagnostic, therapeutic, acute, rehabilitative and recovery care.

Mr. Blank has earned a bachelor of science in nursing as well as a master’s degree in business administration. He has more than 30 years of healthcare experience in a variety of positions. He joined St. Elizabeth Healthcare in 1981 where he began his career as a nursing assistant in the behavioral health department before working as a registered nurse, assistant nurse manager, manager of the emergency department, director of finance and assistant vice president of revenue cycle. In 2008, he became Vice President of Professional Services and entered into his current role as in February 2013.

Mr. Blank’s many contributions to St. Elizabeth include his instrumental role in the integration of the professional services areas pre- and post-merger. He successfully led the cardiology and vascular co-management agreements, developed and led the creation of the new Heart & Vascular Institute and worked with St. Elizabeth Physicians to expand outpatient services throughout Northern Kentucky. In addition, he ensures that both state-of-the-art technology and improved quality outcomes for patients throughout the professional services areas.
