Medicaid Nurse Aid Training Program
This program prepares nurse aides to provide quality, direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. The 80-hour course includes theory, as well as supervised lab and clinical training. Upon completion of the course, students are qualified to take the competency evaluation (State Test) at a recognized state testing center.

State-Tested Nurse Aide Training 10-Day Course
The 10-day course combines classroom and clinical time during a 10-day period to complete the course requirements. This course is open to anyone who meets the specified course requirements.

2013 State-Tested Nurse Aide Training Online Course for Nursing and Pre-Nursing Students
The online course combines computer-based learning modules and on-site clinical time to complete course requirements. All students must show proof of acceptance to college or university. All computer modules and workbook chapters must be complete prior to attending clinical dates.
2013 Clinical Dates
Cost: $595 for non-employees, $195 for employees
(Students are required to complete all CBLs and quizzes prior to attending clinical dates.)

June 2013 - 4, 5, 6, 7 (Orientation April 30, 4 PM)
July 2013- 16, 17, 18, 19 (Orientation May 30th, 4 PM)
Time: 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. for all online class/clincal dates

Course Requirements
- Course requirements must be completed prior to the first day of class.
- NO artifical nails of any kind are permitted in patient care areas.
Application and $100 deposit required to hold a spot in the class (or on waiting list, if applicable). Most classes fill up several months in advance of the start date.
Payment in full is needed on the first day of class, and on the orientation date for the online class.Additional Prerequisites (needed at least 2 weeks in advance of class- specific dates TBA):
- Proof of high school diploma, GED, college transcripts/acceptance letter or equivalent
- Proof of Health Insurance
- Physical within the last 6 months stating you are capable of participating in the class
- PPD skin test- read as negative (or chest x-ray confirming no TB)
- MMR (documentation if born after 1957)- or titers drawn showing levels to be within normal limits
- Hepatitis B vaccination records OR proof of starting vaccination OR signed waiver
- Proof of Liability Insurance- will give information on after enrolled in class (cost is generally around $45)
- Proof of results of criminal record report (s) for KY (courts.ky.gov, approx. $20) and state of residency (if they differ)
At time of Interview
ü Participants must be able to commit to the classroom and clinical time requirements described in the course syllabus.
ü Information will be given regarding uniform for clinicals, dress code for class, and class expectations.
Students with incomplete paperwork will not be permitted to start class.

Refund Policy: Five days prior to the start of class, a 100% refund. After this time a $100 processing fee will be deducted. No refund will be available after the first day of class for the 10-day class and after the initial start date of the on-line class.
