Medicaid Nurse Aid Training Program

This program prepares nurse aides to provide quality, direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. The 75-hour course includes theory, as well as supervised lab and clinical training. Upon completion of the course, students are qualified to take the competency evaluation.

State-Tested Nurse Aide Training 10-Day Course
The 10-day course combines classroom and clinical time during a 10-day period to complete the course requirements.  This course is open to anyone who meets the specified course requirements. 

March 2012 Class Dates and Times
Cost: $495 for non-employees, $195 for employees
Time: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Dates: March 2012 - 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 19, 20, 21, 29, 30

March 2012 Clinical Class Days
Time: 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Dates: March 13, 21, 29, 30

October 2012 Class Dates and Times

Time: 8 a. m. -4:30p.m.
Dates: October 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 22, 23, 25

October 2012 Clinical Class Dates
Time: 7 a.m.-3:30p.m.
Dates: October 8, 22, 23, 25

2012 State-Tested Nurse Aide Training Online Course for Nursing and Pre-Nursing Students
The online course combines computer-based learning modules and on-site clinical time to complete course requirements.  All students must show proof of acceptance to college or university.  All computer modules must be complete prior to attending clinical dates.

2012 Clinical Dates
Cost: $595 for non-employees, $195 for employees
(Students are required to complete all CBLs and quizzes prior to attending clinical dates.)
Dates:
June 2012 - 4, 5, 6, 7 (Orientation April 30th)
July 2012- 17, 18, 19, 20 (Orientation May 30th)

Course Requirements

  • Course requirements must be completed prior to the first day of class.
  • NO artifical nails of any kind are permitted in patient care areas.

Two weeks prior to start of class:

  • Provide a minimum deposit of $100
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Provide proof of health insurance
  • Provide proof of student liability insurance
  • Proof of Criminal Record report (courts.ky.gov). If Indiana/Ohio resident must also include current state + KY report

At time of interview:

  • Participants must be able to commit to the classroom and clinical time requirements described in the course syllabus.
  • Statement of recent physical exam, within 6 months of the start of the program.
  • Proof of updated immunizations, PPD, MMR (documentation if born after 1957) and Hepatitis B series started or signed waiver.

Cost:   $495  for 10-day course, $595 for online course, $195 for employees

Refund Policy: Five days prior to the start of class, a 100% refund.  After this time a $100 processing fee will be deducted.  No refund will be available after the first day of class for the 10-day class and after the initial start date of the on-line class.
