Senior Vice President of Facilities

Doug Chambers currently serves as Senior Vice President of Facilities for St. Elizabeth Healthcare. He has a 25-year career in healthcare design and leads the planning and development of all St. Elizabeth facilities, including Covington, Edgewood, Ft. Thomas, Falmouth, Florence and Grant. He is responsible for plant engineering, biomedical engineering, environmental services, property management, safety, security and nutrition services.

Mr. Chambers is a registered architect in both Ohio and Kentucky, and is a current member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Board. He graduated from Ball State University, College of Architecture and Planning in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and science. He also earned his master in business administration (MBA) in 2006 from Northern Kentucky University with a specialization in project management.

Prior to joining St. Elizabeth Healthcare in 1992, Mr. Chambers worked for GBBN and Glaser Associates as a Healthcare Project Architect in Cincinnati.

Mr. Chambers was promoted to Vice President in 2003 and Senior Vice President in 2008. During his time at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Mr. Chambers has been instrumental in several large construction projects including the replacement of St. Elizabeth North to the new location on I-75 at the cut in the hill and the 144-bed tower expansion on the Edgewood campus. He contributed to the merger of all facility departments of the former St. Luke Hospitals and St. Elizabeth Medical Center to create St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
