William Banks
Vice President of Managed Care and Revenue Cycle
Bill Banks currently serves as Vice President of Managed Care and Revenue Cycle for St. Elizabeth Healthcare. In this role, he is responsible for payor relations and the negotiation of all contracts for facility, professional and ancillary services. Mr. Banks has more than 24 years of senior healthcare experience.
Mr. Banks is a life-long resident of Northern Kentucky. In 1987 he earned a bachelor of arts and in 1992 he earned a master in healthcare administration from Xavier University. He also earned a master in applied economics from the University of Cincinnati in 2002. He serves as an adjunct professor of Health Economics at the University of Cincinnati and is past chair of the Covington Latin School Board.
Mr. Banks came to St. Elizabeth Healthcare in January 2009, after serving as Vice President, Network Operations for Humana of Ohio from 2002 to 2009, and Network Manager for Anthem BC/BS from 1996 to 2002. He was the co-developer of the Northern Kentucky HMO, the first new commercial HMO introduced in the region in the past 15 years.
Mr. Banks has contributed to the overall level of excellence shared by the entire hospital system. He was instrumental in the merger of the former St. Luke Hospitals and St. Elizabeth Medical Center to create St. Elizabeth Healthcare. He is currently leading the efforts to build an accountable care organization (ACO) structure at St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
