Healthgrades cited St. Elizabeth Edgewood as a Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence and was ranked among the top 5% nationally for clinical excellence for the eleventh year in a row (2003 – 2013). We were also named one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals by HealthGrades (2007 - 2013) seven years in a row with key distinctions coming in the areas of cardiology, orthopaedics, neurosciences, pulmonary services, gastrointestinal care and critical care.

Magnet™
St. Elizabeth was also the first in Greater Cincinnati to achieve Magnet™ designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in 2006 and was re-designated in 2010 (St. Elizabeth Covington, Edgewood, Grant).
The Joint Commission
St. Elizabeth Florence and St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas were named among the nation’s “Top Performers on Key Quality MeasuresTM” for 2011 by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of healthcare organizations in America. Both hospitals were recognized for exemplary performance in using evidence-based clinical processes to improve care for specific conditions, including heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care, children’s asthma, stroke, venous thrombo embolism, as well as inpatient psychiatric services. Both hospitals are two of 620 hospitals in the U.S. to earn this distinction for attaining and sustaining excellence in these measures.

St. Elizabeth was named a “100 Top Hospital” by Thomson Reuters (1998, 2007 - 2011) six times including five years in a row.
U.S. News and World Report
U.S. News and World Report ranked three hospitals at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in its 23rd annual Best Hospitals rankings edition which showcases more than 720 of the nation’s roughly 5,000 hospitals. St. Elizabeth Edgewood was ranked #3 in Cincinnati and #4 in Kentucky, St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas was ranked #7 in Cincinnati and #6 in Kentucky, and St. Elizabeth Florence was ranked #8 in Cincinnati and #7 in Kentucky.
Service Line Awards
St. Elizabeth has been voted a “Best Place to Work in Greater Cincinnati” by the Cincinnati Business Courier three times (2005, 2007, 2008) and has been a finalist two times (2006, 2009). St. Elizabeth was also inducted into the Business Courier’s Hall of Fame category in 2008.
