Alex Rodriguez
Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Alex Rodriguez currently serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer for St. Elizabeth Healthcare. His responsibilities include providing strategic planning and coordination in information systems and technology.

Mr. Rodriguez earned bachelor’s degrees in computer science and philosophy from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. He has been a featured speaker for the Health Care and Management Systems Society and a variety of healthcare information technology related forums.

Mr. Rodriguez joined St. Elizabeth Healthcare in 2008. Previously, he served as a member of the senior management team of the Health Alliance from 1995 to 2008 where he played an instrumental role in helping consolidate information systems and technology services for all Health Alliance hospitals. His scope of responsibilities later expanded to include the administrative oversight of Corporate Compliance and Internal Audit functions.

Prior to the Health Alliance, Mr. Rodriguez served as a technical consultant for the former St. Luke Hospitals, where he led the establishment of a community-based IS&T infrastructure for physician partners. He has considerable experience in project management and applications development, specifically in healthcare and telephone industries.

He has served as trustee and past Chairman for the Board of Trustees of HealthBridge (a regional healthcare information exchange network) serving the Greater Cincinnati area.  Mr. Rodriguez is also actively engaged with Northern Kentucky University’s College of Informatics advisory board.
