News Room: Presentation Focuses on Treatment and Care of Stroke Survivors

Edgewood, KY - Dr. Kenneth Mook, medical director of Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital, will discuss the treatment and care of stroke survivors including spasticity management and post-acute management of the effects of stroke. The presentation will occur in the sixth floor conference room at St. Elizabeth Edgewood on March 7 at 6 p.m.

Dr. Mook, a board-certified physiatrist, focuses on restoring the health and functional abilities of people who suffer acute illness or injury, such as stroke, spinal cord injuries, joint replacement, amputations, spasticity management, cerebral palsy, orthopedic trauma and sports injuries.

About the Stroke Support Group
The Northern Kentucky Regional Stroke Support Group is a joint collaboration between St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital. The group provides an open forum and meeting for caregivers and stroke victims to discuss issues and problems that may be challenging to them.
